Saygili Beach Hotel guest verified reviews

Spent 6 full days with my husband. And now this hotel is our priority. The most important thing: the sea is just two steps away, with its own beach and a great beach boy. The entrance to the sea is sandy. Not a single pebble. There is no Aramzamzam in the hotel!!! The food is scarce, but suitable for us. Delicious beer. It's quiet in the evenings. Room 314 is quite good. TV has 2 Russian channels. One Ukrainian. The rest are Turkish. It's a 15-minute walk to the ancient Side. Currency exchange is available at Western Union. There you can find Waikiki and Migros. A bit further is Carrefour. You can take a minibus to Manavgat. The fare is 25 lira or 1 dollar-euro.

The main drawback of this hotel is the check-in process. The owner overbooks the hotel by 1%, so it is not guaranteed that you will be accommodated in the room that you have paid for, or even accommodated at all! We arrived around 12 PM, and a vacant room only became available at 2:30 PM, and it had one double bed instead of the three beds we had purchased (my husband, child, and I). They offered us a mattress as the third bed, so our 7-year-old child had to sleep on the floor on a mattress! They did not have a fold-out bed or any other mini bed available. Furthermore, the room was so small that the mattress couldn't even fit. After a heated argument with the reception, they promised to move us to a proper room the next day, the one we had actually paid for. We ended up sleeping three on a narrow bed the whole night, waking up frequently and feeling sleep-deprived. On the next day, at 12 PM, we were moved to a relatively decent room with three beds. We were lucky, as another couple who arrived on the same day did not even get a room and had to spend the night in another hotel. This is unbelievable! This is our fifth trip to Turkey, and we have never encountered such problems! It seems to me that a normal hotel should not have such issues at all, but apparently, it's a common practice for this hotel! The rooms themselves are small and cramped, decorated in Turkish style. They are sufficient for an overnight stay, considering that it's a 3-star hotel and not the 4 or 5-star hotels we're used to. The rooms have convenient shower cabins, air conditioning, a TV with interesting channels, and a fridge. The main drawback of all the rooms is the absence of curtains on the windows. The windows either face the pool or the neighboring hotels, and they are easily visible from outside. We had to keep the light-blocking curtains closed all the time and live in darkness. From the morning until 12 PM, there is no hot water in the entire hotel! We had to shower with cold water in the morning, and my husband enjoyed the refreshing contrast, but it was not pleasant for me and my child. The hotel does not have any territory, and there is music playing outside the windows every day until late at night. It's impossible to get a good night's sleep with such noise. Housekeeping, changing of bedding and towels are done every two days. There are no beach towels, so we had to use our own. The reception of this hotel deserves a separate comment. We interacted with two people at the reception, one of whom was presumably the manager. He was communicative and positive, solving our check-in issues. However, the second receptionist had a consistently indifferent expression and whenever we approached him with any issue, he would just say, "Okay," but nothing would happen afterward. He didn't care about our problem at all and never resolved it. We have never encountered such indifferent attitude in any hotel before! Now, onto the positives of the hotel: 1. The sea is a 3-minute walk from the hotel, the beach is sandy, and there are enough sunbeds for everyone. The sea is magnificent! There are no changing rooms, but there is a shower and a water hose for rinsing feet. 2. The food is good. There were always two types of meat, two types of side dishes, greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, etc. The Turkish sweets were delicious, and there were watermelons, slightly unripe melons, apples, oranges, and a small selection of good-quality food. The coffee came from a coffee machine, Turkish tea was available, and the beer was decent. There were also red and white wine and artificial fruit juices. The dishes and utensils in the dining room were not always well cleaned, and we sometimes came across plates with food residue. In conclusion, if we disregard the check-in issues and the second receptionist's attitude, this is not a bad hotel overall for a 3-star rating. The food is good, the sea is excellent, and the room is suitable for overnight stays. Just don't expect anything more from it. It might be suitable for an undemanding couple, but maybe not for families with children.
I have never written reviews before, but in this case, it is impossible to stay silent. Stayed at the hotel from September 4th, 223 (checked in on September 6th, 223) to September 12th, 223. This was our 8th time in Side. The trip for two for 9 days from Ufa cost us 1653. We always chose hotels based on reviews. But this time, we became victims of our own naivety, believing in good reviews that were perhaps bought. I will start by saying that for us, the most important things are the sea, decent living conditions, and good food. We have stayed in Turkish three-star hotels before, so we were prepared and did not have high expectations, but we had never experienced such horrors before. I want to warn everyone, especially Russian tourists, against visiting this hotel and choosing the tour operator "BIBLIO-GLOBUS" (the local agency was "KILIT GLOBAL"). If possible, choose a different hotel and a different tour operator. BIBLIO-GLOBUS offered a much cheaper package, and in the pursuit of saving money, we encountered big problems. Previously, we flew with the same tour operator to the Czech Republic and were satisfied, so we did not expect any deception. ABOUT THE TRANSFER: We flew with Aeroflot there and back, and everything was impeccable. Departure/arrival was on time, free registration, onboard meals, cleanliness in the cabin - everything was top-notch. Upon arriving in Antalya at 9 a.m., we were met by a representative from KILIT GLOBAL. We were seated in a small bus, there were only 6 of us - 3 couples (2 to Belek, 1 to Side). We were happy, thinking that we would be at the hotel in 1.5 hours. But they took us to Side through Belek, on some bumpy roads and empty fields, so the journey to the hotel took 3 hours. It is unclear why they couldn't organize the transfer more logically and conveniently. Were we the only ones going to Side?! ABOUT ACCOMMODATION AND SERVICE: Upon arriving at the hotel on September 4th, we found out that there were no rooms available. In a previous review, it was already mentioned that the hotel abuses overbooking - when the tour operator buys more rooms than the hotel can accommodate, but the scale of the problem turned out to be huge... They told us that there was renovation work going on in the rooms (during the peak season?!), and tearfully asked us to move to 2-star hostel apartments for 2 days. Luckily, it was right across the street from our hotel and the room there was decent. We had to spend the night in the apartments but eat in our own hotel. The next day, on our way to the hotel for an info meeting with the KILIT GLOBAL guide, we saw a crowd of disgruntled people (9 people!!!) surrounding the poor representative who was also forced to stay in the hostel.
