My husband and I are currently undergoing several examinations, and when choosing a hospital for the next stage, we noticed the Central Red Cross Hospital in San Jose and Santa Adela. It is located in a beautiful historic building, but we chose it not for its beauty, but for the qualifications of the doctors and reviews. Since we are planning our trip soon, I have already compiled a list of suitable budget hotels nearby. The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. This option was pleasing with its quiet area, convenient location, and excellent price-to-quality ratio. The view from the windows here resembles Paris in the Saint-Germain area! The description states that the interior is inspired by the story of Don Juan of Austria (which is why the hotel is named as such), decorated in a colonial style with patterned fabrics. It's curious to look at!
Agora Juan de Austria is located two kilometers south of the hospital, it takes about 28 minutes to walk here, but the good thing is that the road is flat and almost straight. I think it will be more convenient to take a taxi, only 10 minutes. There's a public transport option, but it's not much faster than walking, 24 minutes.
There is no restaurant here, but there is a small café serving breakfast, snacks, and drinks. I don’t think there will be any issues finding lunch in this area; it is a popular place. The rooms are small, and I’m not sure it would be very comfortable for a long stay, but I was pleased to see a desk – sometimes it’s necessary to work while traveling.
I read the reviews and realized that guests are very satisfied with the service at this hotel, the breakfast exceeds expectations, and the building is beautiful and historic. The negative aspects are poor sound insulation, uncomfortable pillows, few sockets in the room, and the rooms themselves need a bit of updating. Everything would be fine, but it's very important for us to get a good night's sleep, and in an unfamiliar place, it's difficult to do that even without outside noise. So, I took such reviews very seriously.

And here is the hotel with an outdoor pool! This is exactly what can lift my spirits even on the gloomiest day. The building looks new, bright, and the interior reminds me more of a bar and restaurant rather than a hotel. It seems to be a great place for a hedonist.
This hotel is closer to the hospital than the previous ones: just 1 kilometer or a 15-minute walk. I think we can take a leisurely stroll here, especially after the doctor's appointment when there's no need to hurry, but in the morning, we can order a taxi to get there in 7 minutes. The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium is not far away, the very place where "Real Madrid" plays. If we were here for non-medical reasons, we could have gone to a match!
I like everything very much. We just need a place where we can relax, besides just sitting in the room. There is a bar with slot machines and foosball, an open rooftop pool with a terrace and sun loungers for sunbathing. Many rooms have balconies or just large windows with a view of the city. The rooms are compact but well-equipped: there is a kettle, comfortable beds and pillows, even a trouser press. I am always surprised who uses them? Apparently, very businesslike people.
So far, I like this hotel the most. It is bright and beautiful, with an excellent pool and view, various entertainment, and it is also located closest to the hospital. I read that the rooms are cool even in 40-degree heat, but the breakfasts are somewhat monotonous.

This charming hotel is best suited for a trip in warm weather, as it has an outdoor terrace with live plants and flowers. Although it doesn't get too cold in Madrid during the winter, I think such a cheerful and pleasant effect is no longer present.
The hotel is located 1.7 km from the hospital, a 23-minute walk or just 8 minutes by taxi. If we were tourists, we could move around the city by bike; it must be convenient to ride along the road. But we are unlikely to use it, and rather call a taxi or take a couple of walks if the weather is nice.
I liked that the entire hotel is designed in light, beige tones. It's clear that it has been decorated with taste and with the involvement of a designer, there are interesting bright accents, for example, pink armchairs on the terrace.
The rooms seemed comfortable and spacious to me, large windows create a sense of freshness and space. It's good that there is a desk and a couple of armchairs because we plan to spend quite a bit of time in the room, and a TV and mini-bar are always a plus. I'm pleased that there is everything necessary: a bathrobe, slippers, a hairdryer, a toothbrush, a coffee machine, and a kettle.
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that breakfast here consists of healthy dishes.
There is a very small gym in the hotel, but we don't plan to go there anyway.
I carefully studied the reviews and only reinforced my opinion that this is a very good hotel! I can't say that it is budget-friendly, because it doesn't cost that little, but the main thing is that it corresponds to the level of 4 stars. We are going for about two weeks, the trip will definitely not be economical, but we want to get maximum comfort for our money. It seems that this will be possible here.

This beautiful hotel with soft mint-colored sofas really appealed to me with its terrace overlooking Madrid and balconies in the rooms. We need an option where we can relax during breaks between our doctor visits. Preferably with breakfast included and a comfortable bed, and this place has just that!
Not many hotels are located right next door to the hospital, so I had to consider options in the nearby area. NH Madrid Zurbano is 1.8 km from the hospital: you can take a taxi in 8 minutes, use public transport in 18 minutes, or walk for 24-25 minutes. I think we would choose the first option, the fastest and most convenient. The hotel is located in the Chamberí area, and it is quite picturesque here, with a metro station nearby, making it easy to reach the city center.
The hotel rooms are divided into two buildings, and I really liked their interior. It is modern, but traditional and historical Spanish elements are visible in the decor. It’s great that there is a gym here (although I seriously doubt we will go to it), and the rooms have a coffee machine, air conditioning, and a mini-bar. In most cases, breakfast is included in the stay, so we won't have to look for a restaurant in the morning, which is very convenient. Reviews mention that some healthy dishes are served for breakfast.
It was important for me to read that the hotel is quiet, street noise does not disturb, and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. A sound sleep is what we really need! I think it will be convenient to go for a walk in Madrid during our free time. A nice place!

I couldn't walk past this charming hotel when I saw the beautiful design of the lobby and staircase. For me, not only comfort but also the aesthetics of the place are very important, especially if I am staying there for a few nights.
The distance from the hotel to the hospital is just over a kilometer, it will take about 18 minutes on foot. I think that the distance you can walk in less than 20 minutes is quite acceptable for walking, but if it takes longer, you have to take a taxi. By car, it takes about 8 minutes.
The lobby is very stylish and beautiful. The rooms are simpler, but still nice. Everything is decorated in white and beige colors, modestly, minimally, and modernly. I liked the large desk with a desk lamp, very convenient. The rooms are fairly standard in size, but there is space for luggage, and I think it won't be cramped, although there definitely won't be any extra space. There is a mini-bar where you can store some products.
I read the reviews and saw that guests like the cleanliness and comfort of this place. Breakfast is included in the price, it's tasty and varied, and the beds are large with good mattresses. A very decent and reasonably priced option for our stay!

Sometimes it becomes boring from the monotonous "stylish and bright" interiors in hotels and you want something more vibrant. Leonardo Boutique Hotel Madrid is just such a case, when there are other colors! We are planning to come for about two weeks, so it would get very dull in a white room.
The hotel is located south of the hospital, approximately 1.5 km away, which can be walked in 20 minutes, but there is a small uphill. It's better to take a taxi here, it will only take 6 minutes, very quick, and there is little traffic in this area.
I liked the "Deluxe" category room with a large terrace. Sitting there at a table, drinking tea or coffee, and watching the life of the city – sounds simply wonderful. You can even order breakfast in the room to eat there – I'm sure we would do that. They say the breakfast is very good.
Here is what I didn't like about the hotel, which is why we are unlikely to choose it - there are many bars nearby, and sometimes the music can be heard until four in the morning. We will need to get up early to go for examinations at the hospital, so it is very important to get enough sleep. Also, the television is only in Spanish and is not connected to the internet - not very convenient for us.
At first, I arranged the hotels differently, but then I realized that despite all the advantages of various options, I have only one favorite, and that is - VP Jardin Metropolitan. I moved it to the first place because of the perfect location and beautiful, spacious rooms.

This hotel attracted me with its green gardens with fountains, beautiful interior, and a view of the city from the window. And spacious rooms! For us, this is especially important because we will spend a lot of time in the room. But in reality, its location played a decisive role.
One minute walk to the hospital! Yes, this hotel is indeed that close to the hospital. I was very happy to see that the distance is only 100 meters. This means that during any break between appointments, one can return to the room and rest without having to call a taxi and wait for them to come for you. Just walk a few blocks down the avenue, and we are at our destination.
It is important for us to have breakfast included, so we don't waste time searching for food in the morning, and here they serve a continental version that can even be ordered to the room, which is doubly convenient. I really liked the rooms. They are very stylish in beautiful light tones, with space for luggage, a French balcony, a small table, a kettle, and a refrigerator. The bathroom is also beautiful! Everything looks luxurious, yet the hotel is at a democratic price.
I placed this hotel at the top of the selection because it is the best located for hospital visits. For the sake of comfort, I was ready to compromise on distance, but here it won't be necessary. I am sure that the rooms will be comfortable as well.
