We are currently staying at this hotel. Standard for Goa, inexpensive accommodation. The price/quality ratio is excellent (our room cost 1500 rupees per day). The room is quite large. Shower + toilet. Bed with a decent mattress. Own balcony. Hot water all the time. A small wardrobe with hangers. No food is prepared (neighbors complain about the smell). Clean, good refrigerators on every floor. Very convenient location (about 250-300 meters to the sea). 200 meters to Arambol Road. I recommend it for accommodation. To add to that. Yes, there is a slight illumination from the facade lighting, but with the curtain drawn on the third floor, it doesn't bother us at all (although for my wife, darkness is essential). There is no light bulb on the balcony, but its absence is compensated by the router on the balcony, meaning the internet is excellent. Instead of a light bulb, we bought a battery-operated candle for 120 rupees, which is cozier and fewer mosquitoes come in. The sockets, yes... it’s hard to understand the logic of Indian electricians or designers here, but... even in expensive rooms, for 4000-5000 rupees, with switches and sockets, everything is absolutely the same.

I am currently at Durga resort. The pros are the large window-doors and proximity to the sea. There are more cons: - there is no place to hang clothes, just two hangers in the closet and hooks on the door; - the entrance door does not close well from either the outside or the inside (I banged it on the side while trying to close the top latch); - instead of a light bulb on the balcony, a wifi router is connected, so it’s dark on the balcony in the evenings; - the building is decorated with flashing lights, and the curtains are not dense enough, so the flashing disturbs sleep; - there are many switches next to the bed, but none of them turn off the light in the room, I have to go to the entrance door; - there are many sockets, but they are oddly placed, so only one can be used near the bed. I asked about food - they sent me to neighboring cafes. As for shops and vegetable stalls - there are many in Arambol, practically next to any guesthouse/hotel, they are always just steps away. Overall, expectations were not met. Instead of a lamp on the balcony, there are wires for the router. Here’s an illustration of my words about the sockets. I do not understand why there are two(!) sockets near the entrance door... In response to my complaints, the guide spoke with the hotel representative (my English is not enough for such discussions, and there is no Russian-speaking staff there). As a result: 1. The problem with the door has been temporarily resolved; now it closes easily from both inside and outside. 2. It was suggested to either stay without internet in the room and have light on the balcony or leave it as is - with internet in the room and no light on the balcony. We chose the latter. 3. The illumination cannot be turned off - it’s the hotel’s design. 4. Additional hangers for clothes were provided. Relocating to another room was impossible because the entire second floor is rented monthly. On the third floor, the only available room has air conditioning, for which they demanded an extra payment of 800 rupees/day. We did not want to pay a significant amount for a service we do not use. Regarding changing hotels, the tour operator only offered a new booking. That means all the paid amount remains as a fine for the chosen hotel... And on the tour operator's website, I read: "The Caper Travel company has an ISO-SMR compliance certificate and is attentive to the quality of the services provided." Well, how can one not recall the folk wisdom - not everything that is written on the fence can be believed 😂 And the weather here is wonderful now - +33 during the day, cool nights - plus 20-23. The food is diverse and tasty. The sea is magical! So it turns out to enjoy the vacation. I wish the same to everyone planning a vacation in Goa! If your balcony is “decorated” by this structure, then most likely it’s the same room. And good internet is not at all compensation for the absence of a light bulb. We were simply presented with a choice - either internet or lighting on the balcony. Meanwhile, the neighboring room had both internet (from the router on our balcony) and lighting.

A luxurious device ) The room is the same. But I don't think we would use the light on the balcony, it's too bright (the first night, we stayed in the neighboring room with air conditioning while ours was being prepared, in that one, there was light on the balcony, we turned it off after 15 minutes). We like everything. 10th season in Goa, of the budget rooms we have stayed in, this one is the best.

Simple, no-frills room to sleep and continue your moped journey)) cheap and cheerful. Recommend if you're not looking for luxury)) A couple of minutes to the sea, cafes and shops within a minute's walk! There is a fridge on the floor, not in the room. No kitchenware either, bought disposable at the nearest market.

Yesterday I spoke with a guy at the reception about staying at this hotel for 20 days. So, for a room without an air conditioner, he requested 20 rupees for 20 days. The rooms are very decent, spacious, with a large window that opens onto a veranda, overlooking a picturesque courtyard with trees. The impression is good, and we intend to check-in from February 1st. The prices on Booking.com are higher because they are calculated on a daily basis. However, for long-term bookings, the owners offer discounts, so we need to negotiate in person.

Last year we lived in Durge. We really liked this hotel and its owner, Mr. Potel. The inner courtyard is very cozy and clean, but we didn't know they had a kitchen 😁. In our room, we had a large ceiling fan that kept away all the mosquitoes, and the balcony was our favorite spot 👍. I miss the Indian atmosphere so much. This year, in the middle of December, we plan to go with friends for a week, but we want to stay somewhere else, just to change things up, but I don't know if it's worth changing Durge 😊.
