I have long wanted to visit Rio de Janeiro, I was there many years ago with my parents and I don't remember anything except the beach. So now I want to see the city from different perspectives: stroll through the shops, visit museums, and even observe the locals. At the same time, I set an interesting condition for myself – I want to find an affordable hotel with a beautiful view. In Rio, there are different locations, it will be convenient to stay near them and enjoy some interesting view from my window. It seems to me that I will have double pleasure – I will get to know the city better and get aesthetic enjoyment. The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. Nobile Hotel Copacabana Design is one of those located near the beach line, just 300 meters from one of the famous beaches of Rio - Copacabana. But I was attracted not only by this. In the vicinity, there are several wonderful parks that can be reached on foot in 4-6 minutes. They also offer massage services and there is a shared lounge with a television for guests. There is not much variety, but it should be taken into account that this is a budget hotel, and here everything is usually much more modest.

View

Initially, I did not see much choice in the room photos and was even a bit disappointed because the price and quality met my requirements. But then I found a room with huge windows that overlook the mountains with green tropical forests. You can see a few houses, but still, the main focus here is on nature. This beauty is not visible from the common area, but in the room, I will be able to enjoy it to the fullest!

Hotel Rooms

The room of my dreams that I was talking about is a double deluxe, but I think they will have no problem accommodating me alone. Despite the large windows with a view, there are heavy curtains for a good night's sleep. The furnishings in the room are not that extensive: a bathroom, a closet, and a work desk. But everything is new and clean, and I don't need more than that!

Dining

Breakfast can be added to the accommodation cost, served for guests from 06:30 to 10:30 in the morning. There is no restaurant for lunch and dinner here, but there is a café on the premises open all day. In hot weather, I prefer to snack rather than have several full meals. A minute's walk from the hotel, there is a restaurant and a couple of supermarkets.

Prodigy Santos Dumont has one of the most convenient locations. And all because it is connected to the airport, after a long flight, it is such a joy to find yourself almost immediately in your room. Also, there is a marina with yachts located less than two kilometers away, maybe I will be able to negotiate with someone for a boat trip. The hotel organizes evening programs with music - I certainly won't be bored living here even on my own.

View

This hotel attracted me very much with its view of the city. Of course, you can also see the mountains in the distance, but you can't have Rio without them. Here, you can observe the houses and local infrastructure not only from the windows of your room but also from the common area. For example, on the terrace during breakfast, or you can go for a swim in the pool and admire the city. In general, it was precisely for the panoramic view and the opportunity to observe it from different points that I added this hotel to my selection.

Hotel rooms

To see the beauty outside the window, it is not necessary to check into a luxury room, although they are modern and well-furnished here. From a cheaper room, for example, an upgraded double, a part of the city will be well visible. They come with twin beds and one large bed — the second option will suit me just fine, and I will sleep like royalty even in an inexpensive room! I am very pleased that here I can use a stocked mini-bar and a bathtub, where free shower amenities are already waiting for me. The only problem in this place may be not very fast check-in, but this depends on the specific day, and I hope I get lucky to check in as soon as possible.

Meals

The breakfast buffet is well prepared — everything is divided among large tables to avoid queues. You can eat both inside and on the very terrace with a view that I mentioned. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, mainly Brazilian dishes. I probably tried them in my childhood when I came with my parents, but I will gladly remember those flavors again. There is also a separate bar with drinks — at least sometimes I will get lemonade and sit by the pool, from where you can admire the city from the rooftop.

You wouldn't say that you can have a great vacation in Rio for a small amount of money at a hotel like Santa Vista Rio. But this place proved me otherwise; the complex is located in the Santa Teresa neighborhood, and the view from the windows is fantastic! But I will write about my impressions a bit later. This place offers wellness services, such as a hot tub and massage, there is also an outdoor pool and a sun terrace. And they gladly provide recommendations on which places are worth visiting — this is one of my goals, and it's very nice that the staff helps with this.

View

Well, now I will share my opinion about the view in this place. Its main advantage is that it captures several attractions at once - this is part of Sugarloaf Mountain, and you can even see the statue of Christ on Corcovado. It's incredible that you can see several iconic places of the city known worldwide from your room. There is also a common area with the same view - a terrace where you can have lemonade or eat something. Yes, I think I will come here just to watch the sunset behind the mountain!

Hotel Rooms

The rooms look nice, but at the same time they are cheaper than in five-star hotels in Rio de Janeiro. You can even get a standard suite; I like how many wooden details are made here, even the bathroom. By the way, there is a window with a view in it — I can hardly believe it! The bedroom doesn't have anything special, but everything is done tastefully, although I would prefer a bigger wardrobe. But I think it's not worth complaining about a room with such landscapes!

Nutrition

As for dining — there are no breakfasts here. It's a pity, as it's most convenient to eat in the hotel in the morning and then head to the museums or go for a walk. But the hotel is not without a restaurant; you can visit it for lunch and dinner, and try Brazilian cuisine. The nearest supermarket is a 14-minute walk away; it's not close, but you can stop by on the way home and put food in the fridge.

Mar Ipanema Hotel in Rio is located by the beach, just like the first option I found - only now it's Ipanema. Very close is a sports stadium and a shopping mall - it's certainly not museums, but I will happily go there since everything is nearby! The hotel does not have a pool, but its absence is well compensated by a gym and some spa services. You can pay for happy hours when snacks and delicious cocktails/lemonades are served. But, I think I will feel good here anyway!

View

The budget hotel offers a view of the city from any room, but it's not like the one I already added to my selection. There I would see entire neighborhoods of Rio, and here — a small narrow street, opposite are equally small hotels or private houses. This view gives me a sense of safety, and even better — it provides silence compared to the huge expensive hotels. Therefore, I will definitely go here if I get really tired of everyone at work. I was also pleased that there is a terrace for breakfast or a cup of coffee — here you can also enjoy the surroundings.

Hotel Rooms

The hotel has very simple and even modest rooms, but that's why it is one of the cheapest. Although the website says there are also "luxurious" options, I think it's best to go with the standard one, which will suit one or two people. Yes, it's not the trendiest renovation, but it's tidy and clean; it's convenient that there's a table with a mirror by the bed - that's a big plus for me! There's even a mini-bar with lemonades in the room. By the way, the bathroom looks much more modern here: a glass shower cabin and a black countertop by the sink. But the main thing is a nice view of the small Rio street!

Meals

Breakfast is served as a buffet, with standard options like in an American breakfast, but also includes local dishes. There are no lunches or dinners, but there is a cafe and two bars - with drinks and snacks. I can take food with me, and there are also restaurants nearby where you can eat properly (there is definitely some fast food in the shopping mall next door).

I was very interested in the area of the Vila Galé Rio de Janeiro hotel. It is arranged so succinctly and charmingly, and it reminds me more of Europe than a southern country. In the wellness center, you can try everything—from the sauna to various massages. There is a bar with drinks near the pool and plenty of sun loungers. Themed dinners are organized for couples, and maybe I will order one for myself; a vacation is made for that! Sometimes temporary art exhibitions can be found here. The nearest attraction—Arcos da Lapa—is just a seven-minute walk, while it’s faster to reach the museums by transport. I was very interested in the hotel's amenities and services, and it definitely won't be too noisy here.

View

In moments when I am very tired at work and start thinking about my upcoming vacation, I want to reduce the amount of noise around me. With a view like this, of the lovely well-kept pool and small garden, I think I can do that. I can take a higher room, and then the focus will be more on the garden and trees, or I can choose a room on the first floors, where the pool is more visible. In any case, this option will suit me well if I decide to spend a solitary vacation in a peaceful environment. Some windows have flowers planted outside, and the pool is neatly fenced off from the private terraces—such beauty around!

Hotel rooms

I was most impressed by the room on the first floor. It is both beautiful and very convenient. You can quickly access the pool and the bar for drinks. There is an exit to the common terrace through a special door, and there is a window nearby, which means it will be very bright during the day. I will be able to prepare lemonade and hot coffee in the room - everything necessary is available. I would like to note that cleaning is done daily, and towels are changed. There is also a television, but I think in such an interesting city and hotel, I won't need it.

Meals

In this hotel complex, there is one restaurant, and it operates from 08:00 AM to 10:00 PM, even if you go on the farthest excursions - you can make it back in time for dinner. Breakfast is served from 06:30 AM to 10:00 AM. They offer a buffet with a large selection of pastries, fruits, and hot dishes. The dairy products include cheese, yogurts, and butter for pancakes (although I would rather have them with jam). There is also a selection for lunch and dinner; I don't even know where to start - with Portuguese, Mediterranean, or Italian cuisine?
